Dr Isabelle Onley

Senior Advisor

Isabelle specializes in future-proofing species and ecosystems through applied conservation science. She has seven years of experience and holds a PhD in threatened species management and conservation biology from the University of Adelaide.

Isabelle has expertise in climate adaptation and resilience planning, including work with the Western Australian Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions on modelling threatened species establishment in new conservation areas and developing long-term restoration plans for the Reef Authority. She has also collaborated with the Australian Antarctic Division on biosecurity risk assessment and developed protocols to reduce biological invasions under climate change. This work is complemented by her experience in species translocation policy and applied research for the Murray-Darling Basin Authority focused on emerging environmental monitoring technologies.
